You know those weddings that just overflow with joy and energy from the very start? Katy and Rowan’s big day at Deans Court in Dorset was exactly that.
Before the Ceremony
Katy’s day began with her being surrounded by her bridesmaids and close family in the bridal suite at Deans Court. With coordinating robes, chic sunglasses and sharing a bottle of bubbly in the garden before the final makeup touches, this was a memorable wedding morning. Rowan and his groomsmen had a fun and relaxed morning before the ceremony with group photos in the grounds of Deans Court.
The ceremony
Katy and Rowan’s ceremony at Deans Court was elegant and intimate. The aisle was adorned with elegant white florals to match the chic white wooden chairs for their outdoor ceremony. The couple exchanged their vows under a beautiful wooden pergola draped with ivory and greenery. Katy smiled the whole way down the aisle as she walked arm in-arm with her dad to meet Rowan. Surrounded by loved ones, the couple’s outdoor ceremony was heartfelt, personal and magical. They had a special appearance from their beloved dog who greeted the newlyweds at the end of the ceremony wearing a gorgeous colour-coordinating collar!
The reception
After the ceremony, guests chatted in the garden, enjoying refreshing drinks and canapes in the stunning grounds of Deans Court.
The couple treated their guests to some fun lawn games and a white bouncy castle which brought out the inner child in their guests. It was a brilliant idea; you could see the joy on everyone’s faces as they enjoyed the reception activities. The gorgeous sunshine only added to the magic of the day and the guests made the most of celebrating outside.
Katy & Rowan chose to have bubbles instead of confetti for their entrance into the reception which went down well with their guests and made for epic photos!
The reception was a perfect mix of colour and elegance, with disco balls and fresh flowers on every table adding to the fun and stylish overall vibe of their wedding. During the speeches, the atmosphere was filled with laughter from some great speeches and everyone raised their shot glasses to celebrate the newlyweds.
Evening celebrations
As the sun began to set, the party really took off. The bouncy castle remained a popular spot, and the dance floor was never empty. The evening was filled with ska and rock music (my favourite!), laughter, and dancing. The golden hour provided a perfect backdrop for some stunning sunset shots which the couple really wanted to make the most of.
To turn the party up a notch Katy & Rowan had a champagne spray in front of their venue, followed by joining their guests on the bouncy castle! It was amazing to see how relaxed and fun this couple were throughout the day and thoroughly enjoying every moment of their big day.
Katy and Rowan’s wedding at Deans Court in Dorset was a day I’ll never forget. The setting was gorgeous, the details were perfect, and the atmosphere was just so fun! Everyone had an amazing time, and I was honoured to be a part of it.
