Kelly & Andrew had been planning this wedding for sometime. 2020 had other plans, causing everything to go up in the air. After seeing how lovely micro weddings can be they decided to go ahead and have their own day. AND… It was AMAZING!
Getting Ready
I arrived to see Kelly getting her makeup done, the bridesmaids buzzing & the sun shining. Kelly was looking gorgeous already and soon after I arrived so did their youngest guest – their Flower Girl! We all got to enjoy a nice relaxed morning, seeing the flowers arrive & sipping on some drinks. I captured all the details whilst everyone was getting ready and by the time everyone had finished we were ready to get into the dress! My favourite part was when Annie (the Flower Girl) picked up the train without any prompt to carry it – so cute!! We had a lovely first look from Kelly’s Dad and then off I went onto the ceremony.
Ceremony
I set off to meet Andrew & his family at St Matthews Church in Otterbourne. The church was decorated beautifully by the fantastic BluBelle Lane, using ribbons to section it all off & flowers to add colour and scent. Soon after the Bridesmaids & Flower Girl arrived so we got a few pictures of them awaiting Kelly’s arrival. A short while passed and Kelly arrived, all guests inside & one buzzing photographer ran up to meet her (yes I was very excited!). Kelly looked STUNNING and brought a tear to my eye! I captured some photos of her in the car and with her Dad, then went into the church ready. I saw Andrew waiting with a HUGE smile on his face – unsure if he could see me smile (wearing a mask) but perhaps he saw the glisten in my eyes of happy tears.
The service was beautiful, with Kelly & Andrew exchange rings and the choir singing the hymns. After the ceremony we went outside to take a few pictures and throw a load of confetti. To Kelly & Andrew’s surprise loads of friends had arrived outside the church (socially distanced) to say their wishes & get pictures. It was a heartwarming sight!
Reception
Heading back to the gorgeous New Place Hotel, we enjoyed the sun shining by heading straight out into the gardens. The guests were enjoying their canapes & we set off to get some couple pictures. As we finished the sun started dipping giving us a gorgeous golden glow ready for the group photos. We enjoyed the last of the sun and with what seemed like perfect timing we went inside for dinner. Kelly & Andrew were announced into the room with an almighty roar – their day was finally here and we were thrilled!
After some food Kelly’s Dad started the speeches, with a heartwarming speech. Andrew and his bestman also gave speeches – thanking everyone for attending and cracking some humour in there too. After the speeches being an intimate wedding everyone was able to share stories for the whole party to hear. There was so much laughter & light in that room, it felt as if they had created the most perfect day, with amazing family & friends. I felt honoured to be part of it all, it was just magical.
Massive congratulations again to you both, it was a blast! Round two for a party – I CANNOT wait!! I will joining in on the dance floor 😉
